At Salone del Mobile 2026, Piknik Works presents House of Tilia, an immersive installation positioned at the end of one of the fair’s longest corridors. Conceived as a point of arrival, the project transforms a transitional axis into a spatial destination; drawing visitors into a slower, more atmospheric environment within the intensity of the exhibition.
Revisiting the spatial identity first developed for Tilia at Host Milano by Piknik Works, the proposal moves beyond the format of a conventional stand. Instead, it unfolds as a layered experience: a subtle shift from the dense and fast-paced rhythm of the fair into a calmer and more balanced spatial condition. The structure operates as a threshold, momentarily detaching visitors from their immediate surroundings.
The installation is structured around the relationship between “ground” and “sky.” The ground plane forms a continuous surface that integrates seating, display, and circulation into a single spatial gesture. Above it, a lightweight and semi-transparent grid defines a secondary layer, shaping the overall atmosphere. Together with the ambient lighting, this upper structure establishes an airy, balanced environment that resonates with Tilia’s spatial sensibility.
