Piknik re-designed Blok Maçka Restaurant & Bar in response to the client’s evolving needs, transforming the space from a venue known for its iconic bites and cocktails into a bi-functional environment—operating as a restaurant by day and a stage by night. This dual character enabled a dynamic spatial narrative that adapts to different audiences and moments.
The project also marked the studio’s first re-design of its own work, introducing a critical layer of reflection and transformation. To accommodate larger audiences during performances, the seating configuration was rethought as a flexible system embedded within the spatial logic. This bi-functional identity was integrated into the floor through Piknik’s graphic language, guiding the daily reconfiguration of the space while subtly communicating its shifting use throughout the day.
